My husband has always said, No one sees the first punch and its so - TopicsExpress

My husband has always said, No one sees the first punch and its so true. For example, people always hear my response to someone that insults me and they always miss the fact that another person provoked me or insulted me in the first place. In the case of Michael Brown, no one sees that this MAN, not teenager, has stolen from a store and bum-rushed the police office that tried to arrest him (no one sees the first punch). In the case of Eric Garner, no one sees that this man had an arrest record for over 20 years and was selling cigarettes illegally, and resisted arrest (no one sees the first punch). I finally saw the I cant breathe video and he clearly resisted arrest. Mr. Garner was twice the size of the officers, so in resisting arrest, the officers used their training to get him to submit. Its simple. You commit a crime, youre going to deal with the law. Stop committing crimes (the first punch) and you wont get harassed by the police. Its not about RACE, so stop making it. Yes racism is still alive and has been for many years but cops dont wake up in the morning looking for minorities to harass and kill. In the case of the two NYPD officers, there was no altercation, no situation, no reason for the EXECUTION style of their murder. THEY DID NOTHING to deserve such death. All they were doing was their job and now their wives and children have to bury them during Christmas. And for what? Because you refuse to see the truth of cases that are displayed right before your eyes but yet you submit to the blind-hate biased side of ignorant people that refuse to see both sides of the story? Open your eyes just like you tell me to open mine. Yes I know not all cops are great but in the cases referenced above, they were doing their job, the ones we pay them to do, to arrest those breaking the law so OUR streets are safer.
