My kid is eccentric no doubt. It understandable, even expected considering his parents, but being afraid of the sound the air conditioner makes in my upstairs west facing hot-as-hell bedroom is pushing it kid. I was ready to battle but his cries werent the whiny I want my way cries - they were heart wrenching scared cries of a toddler who was sure the big noise was a monster :(. So we lay there, hot and sweaty for 15 minutes. To add insult to injury, my little heater laid right on top of me! As I wiped the sweat from his forehead I told him mama is hot, arent you hot? If we turn the fan on it will get nice and cool in here... He slid off the bed, turned the air on, climbed back in bed and fell asleep. I reasoned with my two-year old. Amazing.
