My move is really really going to happen. My friend Martha Debord came last week to help me with a garage sale for the first batch of stuff I had ready. She is a trooper and hung out in my garage for several days. Then my sister Lynn came with a 12 foot trailer and they hauled everything but a couple of large items to Goodwill. Next step was to load that 12 foot trailer with everything that I already had packed up from my attic. That happened and about 30-40 boxes later, two packs of bungee cords, 4 new ratched tie downs and 50 foot of rope over a humongous tarp we had the trailer ready to go. Several days were left before we planned to take of so we rented a 14 foot Uhaul and packed everything we could find that I may not need for the next few months. We did so good! Got a stove for my nephew but the 65 big screen tv he wanted for the lease did not make the ride- (that was an interesting experience trying to load that for sure) All that said we did good. Got to Hereford and fired a contractor. spoke with a couple of cabinet makers that I am interested in, but need a brick mason. Found a wonderful painter and took an unexpected tour of the old Pitman house while looking at his work. Too much fun and really a little emotional. I loved living in that house. Contractor was supposed to have George Luna lined up to fix all the brick around the windows and new doors but he seems to be crazy busy and we have not spoken to him. Anyone know a brick mason that works in Hereford??? It is kind of important since I have a lot of bricks just laying on the ground now.
