My mum made vegetable soup last night and without thinking I scooped some into my vacuum flask for today. Didnt think much of it when I couldnt open it just now and as Chris Burnard couldnt either I got out of the ranger and approached the truck parked behind us to ask one of the other big strong guys I work with to open it for me instead. Which he did. In return for his efforts it violently burst its lid and showered him, his lunch and his phone in luke-warm fermented vegetables. Having gotten some in my hair during the explosion I can vouch that the smell is indescribably vile. He looked pretty shocked so I thanked him quietly and shut the door to the sound of Riccardo Benignos laughter coming from just the other side of the splash zone. Its probably going to be quite a tense afternoon.
