My name is Jameka Leonard, and I was diagnosed with a brainstorm - TopicsExpress

My name is Jameka Leonard, and I was diagnosed with a brainstorm glioma that has grown in size. I am currently going to chemotherapy sessions every two weeks. I was subjected to radiation everyday Monday thru Friday two years ago to stop to growth, but that too didnt help. I did although have surgery to have a shunt inserted into my head, to relieve the fluid build up due to the amount of fluid left in my head because of the tumor located on my brainstem, where my central nervous fluid is produced. I still have to be strong going through this. My daughter was a toddler when I found out I had a mass in my head, then I find out it is a benign tumor when she was about 4 years old, and finally they diagnosed me with brain cancer a year later. Through out my journey fighting this battle, I really felt sad. Not too sad for me, but sad that my daughter had to go through this as well. My baby watched me go through the most gruesome sickness that no parent would want their child to witness. My daughter is a smart cookie though, she would ask and ask questions about cancer, because she knows that I enjoy teaching her about it(I got faith, so I dont mind speaking on cancer I know God is in complete control). Not only do I enjoy teaching her, I also know that her awareness about what is going on is far more important than anything else. And this is why I wrote this short story. With the intentions to not frighten children, but teach them about cancer, Whats wrong with mommy(cuál es incorrecto con la mama, would be a great book to have as a child (especially for a child that has an ill parent or loved one). It is a short story about a young girl, who learns about her mothers cancer through her grandmother. The book is bilingual(in English and Spanish). It is available on Amazon or this link below. https://createspace/4874288 Please share this video! youtu.be/4zRNM7EWD2I
