My new Q10 - Final update. Guess one month using my new Blackberry Q10. Still loving it. here are some positive and sadly some negative about it. HANDLING - Wow. Very thin! Much thinner than my old Bold. Feels like holding a calculator. Yeah, same width and length as calculator! Feels good and weight is reasonable. TYPING - Feels the same as Bold but much wider. Easier to type than my skinny Bold. I have wide hands so the new Q10 is worthwhile. I will attempt to learn type without watching my typing. I will master my typing! BATTERY LIFE - Runs 2-3 days between charge. That is the same as my Bold. Recent OS upgrade helps me with battery management (Device Monitor) but no need, I am happy with 2-3 days between charge. MESSAGE - I love the Hub. So easy to switch from reading emails, text and BBM. And the Hubs is perfect to shows the current message status. Can text, BBM, and email as good as my Bold. Easier to navigate because of touch screen. Auto spell checker? It does a good job at SELF correct. Definitely a plus than my Blackberry Bold. MAP/GPS - The preinstalled map is cool. It includes traffic report. If road is green, no traffic. If road is red, traffic jammed! If black, you screwed... Ha. The map is perfect for me while driving and know short cut if I ran into traffic jam. APPS - Most preinstalled apps are perfectly fine for me except text editor. I bought some from Blackberry world. Easy to buy and download. I use text editor as my personal log. Why text editor? I use memo-pad in my Bold for a long time and that files saved can not be transferrable. I learned my hard lesson. So I bought text editor and all my log can be transferred to my desktop. PHOTO - Q10 have two photo shot, front and back. I can video chat and take myself a photo. That is a big plus over Blackberry Bold. EMAIL - Save the bad stuff to the 2nd last. Sadly, the email no longer superior than the others. Blackberry have dropped their blackberry.net email system. So that means use web based email such as Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and others. I setup my BB to sync email every 5 minutes. This way, my BB checks email once every 5 minutes and update ENTIRE emails. If I need to check sooner, I simply click refresh at Hub. It is not the same as old system but IT STILL WORKS! Should I worry about this slower email system? Well, my friends are drifting away from email system and using chat such as BBM, text, PIN, and other video chat such as Skype which happens to have text based chat. My prediction is email will be a rare communication tool to have in the future. Work? Yeah, they still send me emails.... Sadly... TOUCHSCREEN - Saving this to my last. The touch screen makes everything easier. Honestly, I dont miss that little scroll button. At first, Q10 touch screen was a problem and I learned that I should not use my wide thumb. I use any fingers but use smallest area touched to the screen and BAMMM.... I got it. Since then, I am the expert, smile. Another thing is that white ring. I figured what that white ring is for and found it very useful. When typing long message and I need to make some changes or need additions, that when white ring is for. So I tap on screen at end of any sentence and white ring appears. I touch and drag to the area I want to edit and off I type I go.... MORE - And many more little positives I like about my new Q10. Just cant fill everything here.... Cheers everyone!!!
