My notes from this evening’s Neighbourhood Solutions Meeting - Present- Councillor Jackie Slater Councillor John Slater Councillor Denise Gee Trish Taylor (BwDBC Neighbourhoods) Another lady from BwDBC (sorry I don’t have her name) Two PCSO’s from another area 3 Residents 1. IF the Gibb Lane development goes ahead traffic lights will be installed at the junction of Bog Height Road and Blackburn Road (Under the motorway bridge) to help with the flow of extra traffic at this already very busy junction. 2. Please have your say on the proposed roundabout and zebra crossing at the Fernhurst end of Jack Walker Way. You can do this by filling in the leaflet posted through letter boxes over recent weeks or if you didn’t receive one you can email your opinion to [email protected], you can write to Room 412, FREEPOST BK1242, BwDBC, Town Hall, BB1 7ZZ or if you want a leaflet you can PM me with your address and I will drop one off to you. The consultation has been extended and now runs until the 30th January. 3.There is now a lunch-time club at the Blues Bar for vulnerable and isolated people. If you know of anyone who you think would benefit from a place please book with Trish Taylor 01254 266370 or email [email protected]. The club runs every 4th Thursday from 12 noon and costs £4.95 (there is one tomorrow - 8th January). 4.There are lots of Community Refresh activities and Community Learning Courses at Darwen Vale, please see attached leaflets for more information. 5. Parking around the Redeemer School was raised yet again - Councillors explained all the different tactics which had been used by the school and by themselves to try to deter people from parking dangerously and inconveniently around the school. 6.The next Fernhurst Ward Solutions meeting covering our part of the ward will be on Wednesday 1st April at 7pm at The Golden Cup…….all being well :)
