My number is 12. Things you may or may not know about me. 1. I was born April Clark and was adopted at age 5 by my Dad. 2. I am a Navy brat. (Cuss like a sailor, too.) 3. I have loved nature since a 6th grade wilderness survival camp in California. 4. I have written poetry since 5th grade, mostly prose. I once threw away a stack of notebooks full of my poems and regret this. I tend to think using metaphors, similies, and analogies, yet, cannot interpret other peoples. 5. One of my poems, Puppy, was published (around the early 2000s), and I have won three National awards. Two were mostly for work I did with Photoshop: Multimedia Presentation (2002), Third place Web Site Development (2003), Eighth place (Ironically, computers have changed so much, I am now technilogically challenged.) The third was for giving a toddler a ride home after I found him crossing the service road running toward the interstate. - FedEx Humanitarian Award (2013) 6. I absolutely hate to wear prints - they remind me of curtains. 7. I started listening to some Country Music about three years ago, and listen to more of it now than other genres. 8. I do not have cable (I rarely watch TV anymore) but when I did, I loved to watch the Science Channel and criticize the conflicting theories and holes in the theories. I have a secret crush on Dr. Michio Kaku. Shhh! 9. I have more baggage than the cargo area of a 747; more issues than a daily magazine. It all boils down to safety. 10. My dream job was Experimental Neuropsychologist, and I love research and things like genealogy. It makes me feel smart and accomplished. Reference #9. 11. I want to live in one particular version of the Hobbit House, and I think that cave homes are beyond cool. 12. Many times, I have told someone what they had meant to me, and never thought about the impact of those words, nor what I might mean to anyone else.
