My open letter to Senator Seitz (SB 193 Author and the Senator - TopicsExpress

My open letter to Senator Seitz (SB 193 Author and the Senator from my district) Senator Seitz, I am ashamed to be represented by the man who authored SB193. The Senate passing this bill only solidifies the resolve of those of us who believe that the establishment is the problem with government. To bad you are not up for reelection as I would have enjoyed working with any party to oppose it. Ralph Waldo Emerson said in the late 19th century “There are always two parties; the establishment and the movement”. SB193 highlights the systemic problem with the establishment and spotlights those most frightened by the change that is coming to America through the movement. Your bill might block third party participation in Ohio temporarily, but it hasnt stopped the idea. The beautiful thing about the establishment is that history tells us they all collapse. Your bill has brought that collapse one step closer. The idea of voting for an American over a Democrat or Republican is a seed that has already been planted. The spout, centuries old, was slow to grow. So think of SB193 as fertilizer that will encourage a growing idea to bloom. With all due respect Senator Seitz your bill has done two things. (1) It has protected temporarily the two party system in Ohio and (2) it has provided the movement a tool to prove why the two party establishment is bad for America. I suppose those in the movement can both shake our heads with disgust and applaud the bills passage for providing another tool to show Americans why the establishment is bad for America. What will history say about you Senator Seitz? Will historians in Ohio talk about the man who authored a bill that protected the establishment? In my opinion there is only right and wrong. SB193 is wrong. I believe history has proven that time and time again. As a free thinking man bound by no party, I respect you as a man and Senator for my district. I believe what you have done with this bill is wrong for District 8, Hamilton County, the State of Ohio, and America. Kind Regards, Chuck Manning
