My papillon Cyrano always runs out the back door and jumps off the steps of the deck. Tuesday night he did this in the dark on a super foggy night, we did not see him land but he let out a scream and couldnt get up. The vet said he hurt a disc in his back, he cant use his back legs. He is on cortizone now. We can not afford MRI or surgery. I have a chronic illness that keeps me home so hes my 24/7 companion, I can take care of him, but if he doesnt get use of his back legs how will I be able to tell if he is in pain or not?
