My phone didnt like Facebook all day yesterday and I couldnt keep you updated with all the goings on at #NFA2014. Now that Im home I just wanted to thank everyone who helped make it a success! Thanks to two amazing committee chairs Crystal DCunha and Amy Hart - You guys ROCK!!! thanks to all our committee members, Kristen, Lorraine, Monica Nedilsky, Carlo, Andrea, Carli Taylor-Hoffmann, Stephanie, Meaghan, Donna Shelton, and Rob you make it all SO SO SO much easier.Special thanks to my staff Carolyn, Rachael Forgeron and Stephanie who are just plain awesome! Thanks from the bottom of my heart to all the wonderful people who came out and volunteered throughout the day - we simply couldnt have done it with out you, you bring such heart and enthusiasm to the day. I could go on and on. I do want to say a special thank you to all our participants - really who brings their whole family out to sit under the blazing sun all day and sleep out in their cramped cars all night? Each and everyone of you are amazing beyond belief and make this event the special day that it is. Thank you for taking on the cause and making it your own. I also want to thank my friends and family who came out to spend the day with me, who donated to support the cause - I blew past my goal by a couple hundred dollars! Lastly thanks to all the sponsors and donors who came out to support the YWCA Niagara Region last count we raised over $51,000 and the donations are still pouring in!!! You are all just so incredible! Words escape me as to how grateful we truly are, all I can say is there are women and children who will be sleeping safe tonight because of your generosity and I hope this is enough to make you feel truly appreciated.
