My post to Paolina Milanas Questionable fundraiser efforts: youcaring/other/the-town-where-e-t-was-filmed-needs-help-getting-back-home/191276 ATTENTION ALL Sunland-Tujunga Community Members! This is a most egregious and misleading fundraiser. Please Read: 1) The majority of fundraisers on this site are recognized social and/or neighborhood groups -- or families with deaths or REAL needs like medical, etc. Giving ANY money here is like flushing down the toilet. There is absolutely NO accountability whatsoever. I mean, if you want to give money to Paolina just send it to her Paypal account! This fundraiser is NOT represented by any real or legal community group, effort, or formal Neighborhood Council of Chamber of Commerce, or Rotary, or Lions Club -- or any service group whatsoever. 2) ET was NOT filmed in Sunland-Tujunga, but in Northridge and a single exterior shot in northern Burbank: movie-locations/movies/e/et.html#.U7EwNECmU1I 3) The costs which Ms Miiana lists here as $20,000 largely goes into her own pocketbook. As Ms Wharton points out, Milanas $5000 for legal trademark costs can be had for $189.00 -- plus a 501c3 can be had for $500.00!!! Shall we analyze the rest of her budget? 4) Worst of all, I have never seen a person so full of HATE yet who says she wants to help our Community. Ever since she came on the scene she has been attacking everyone who simply and honestly has a different point of view, How dare she call us a downward spiral, full of meth heads, dope addicts!! She is only using fear-mongering tactics and Black Public Relations to strike Fear into people so they will go along with her area control programs. She really hates most of us and blocks anyone who does not lick her feet. Ever since she showed up a few years ago in our town she has spread HATE HATE HATE. Do you really want to listen to this person? 5) Where does she come from? Many of us, like myself and Ms Wharton, have been here 22 years. Whats her background? What is her resume? She has repeatedly ignored real inquiries about her true background. Lets find out Specifically where she has worked and been schooled -- other than Scientology courses - huh?? 6) Her program here is totally for her own personal agenda, and to get gold stars from her friends. Giving money to her here under helping our community is a total fraud and abuse of this great Real caring website platform to help REAL people. If you really knew Ms Paolina you would see she cares not a single irksome bit about any of us; just wants to get her agenda funded, even if it means ripping us off!! DO NOT FUND THIS PROGRAM -- IT WILL DO NOTHING FOR OUR COMMUNITY, IS NOT REPRESENTED BY ANY OFFICIAL SANCTION, AND YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY. And, thank you Moon Skie, whoever you are, for inspiring me to finally say something and clarifiy for the record. Anyone can look up her entrance HATE remarks on the Foothills.observerd Facebook community group in early 2014. What a yenta! lol
