My sadness and anger increases at the unprecedented and unkind culture this rogue condem government has created in the UK. A combination of indoctrination with a sway with the vested interests of the media has enabled govt to brainwash large swathes of the British public into believing that all benefit claimants are fraudulent and the system in in dire straits. 99.3%+ of claimants are genuine The fact that the UK is the 7th wealthiest nation and that state pensions account for most part of the welfare bill is not something the SUN,Daily Mail,Express,Telegraph,Times and any Murdoch journalists will be reporting any time soon either. Has Cameron tackled the pension bill which is causing his so called unmanageable social security bill that he constantly says the country cant afford? The answer of course is that he hasnt because pensioners mean welcome votes for him ! Their escape is running out by the minute, if this amoral government should be reelected, pensioners will be next in line for punishing reform to suit the ideology of the truly uncaring, cold heart of conservatism. On the back of this deliberate;y manufactured stigma around the benefit claimant,thousands of disabled people and their carers have failed to get support or to challenge the flawed work capability assessment espoused by Iain Duncan Smith, a man responsible for wasting billions on a system that wasnt broken.The unfortunate victims of this government mess are then placed incorrectly into the getting ready for work group One year on and they face a mandatory work placement,sanctionong for all sorts of reasons invented by job centres under orders from the DWP BUT the unplatable fact remains these people are still seriously physically and /or mentally ill but have no money to live on.Our caring government has found ways to ensure that they have no means to feed,clothe or house themselves. That includes,babies,small children,students and the elderly, as well as the sick in the UK because the Tory has found many methods of penalising the vulnerable.The bedroom tax for example,to name but one. What other politician could do such a brilliant job at destroying a perfectly good social security system that saves our country from sinking into 3rd world poverty and starvation for its citizens? The fault lies with the same agreed cross party political system that has farmed out industries,sold its very soul to the devil,encouraged spiralling debt and housing as an investment,a very stupid one at that as we are all now finding out to our cost. This short term greed has kept wages low , rents and utility bills unaffordable. This is why many needed the benefit system and NOT becuase of the poppycock rhetoric spewed out by politicians that people are disinclined to work . They cannot afford to live! It is not only untrue, it is illogical and irrational to decry a whole nations sick and disabled as shirkers and scum of the lowest order.Humans thrive on activity, they are always craving for participation, a sense of belonging and self esteem which is the happy,end result of being productive in whatever way they can manage it. The disabled and their carers sometimes, are being placed in the wrong support group. This appallingly ineffective system is specifically designed to deny benefits, originating as it does from the private health insurance company UNUM in America(long since discredited in that country but good enough to fob off on the UK citizen in time of need?)These people are being threatened if they do not attend the work meeting,the interview etc,they will have their money stopped. No matter that they are unable to travel,are in pain,undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, physiotherapy and the myriad of other vulnerabilities us humans will face during a life time. Our food banks bear witness to the shame of a rich nation as they fill to overflowing with the end product of a political ideology that wants nothing less than to remove a civiised system that protects the weak among us when in time of need. If they fail to comply with this brutal process, which leaves out any vestige of humanity, human rights or decency,they will be punished for not originally being well enough or able to challenge government to appeal the original decision to place them in a totally unsuitable category of getting ready for work. Thousands of poor wretches are suffering mental and physical anguish at the purposeful hands of the powerful in the land. Unwittingly they are also aiding and abetting,the infamous fiddling of statistics that Ian Duncan Smith has become notorious for and which he continuously fails to reveal in transparent fashion. Any attempt at revealing how this catastrophic plan has progressed and what it has achieved has been concealed from public and parliamentary prying eyes. Cameron and Smith are responsible but as yet unanswerable to those who have died since the introduction of this barbaric reform . Motivated by the will and determination of a creed that teaches,see to yourself because society is unwilling to help. There is no such thing as society those of us old enough to recall the unpopular Prime minister of the day,Mrs Thatcher constantly promoting this belief, know how she has succeeded in her dictatorial dogma. How she made the world of politics and the country a worse place to be.The impact of her legacy has been in the main,one of how to live life being utterly self centred and acquisitive, whilst feigning superficial Christian desires to help ones fellow human by insincere and highly visible acts of charity, visited on only the deserving poor of course . I believe society is by default , a deeply compassionate one and that humans are able to do much good for one another when shown mutual compassion,dignity and kindness. It is only our government that has failed on this and its greedy ambition is to reduce state help for the majority to nothing and thus build up the power and wealth of the rich. Only the foolish and the afraid,will believe that all citizens in need are scroungers and that by their silence, they will escape this cold terror of not having a penny for food or rent in times of sickness and misfortune. Only the foolish,the uncaring ,will fall for this cold blooded,conservative ideology.
