My sister in law Angela Conger Schut brought over some delicacies - TopicsExpress

My sister in law Angela Conger Schut brought over some delicacies that were beyond anything I have ever experienced. She can bake like a trained pastry chef and she made an apple pie from scratch that was a sight and a taste to behold. It reminded me of Hawaii. Barb and I have been to Hawaii twice and when we got back friends would ask, whats it like in Hawaii. My answer is always the same, there is no way to describe Hawaii and give it justice, you have to be there to experience Hawaii. That pretty much sums up Angelas pie. To taste it is to experience it. Well, this year Ang took it a step farther, she made this dressing that was like putting heaven in your mouth. This dressing has all the elements to win the Pulitzer for food. It was beautifully golden brown hues on the outside, inside were soft moist morsels of bread flavored with herbs, butter, vegetables and stock. Then there was the special addition that joined in and brought all of the flavors together in a crescendo of goodness. She added sausage, beautifully browned and seasoned sausage that was a flavor diva in its own right but at the same time a team player in this orchestra of flavor, color, fragrance and texture. It caressed your senses as you bit into a fork full. A veritable meal in one, lovingly made for this feast we call thanksgiving. Thank you Angela for your wonderful efforts!
