My sister sent me some old photos she just uncovered! Maybe she should have kept them covered? Nah, these are too good not to share. First, this is my dad and me on our amazing Morgan mare, Minnie, riding “Florida style” (shorts and barefoot). We are riding under the live oaks at our small horse farm in Orlando FL, about 1964. Hey, doesn’t my dad have great position? This is my whole family, circa 1967, on vacation somewhere, I think in Europe. I look like a boy in a girl’s coat! My mother always wanted me to grow my hair out so people would know I was a girl, but whenever my hair got too long, I would take the scissors to it myself. Horses were more important than hair dos!
