My sweetie decided to come pick me up in Gainesville, Ga. - TopicsExpress

My sweetie decided to come pick me up in Gainesville, Ga. yesterday....(many hours earlier than my scheduled bus stop at 5:20 pm) So during the bus stop (my sweetie had not arrived but was en route) which the bus driver said was 5 minutes I informed him I needed help getting my luggage off the bus because I was being picked up at this stop instead of traveling onward to Atlanta...then from there to Norcross (final stop). The bus driver became very rude and refused to help me get my luggage off the bus (beneath)...a few other people decided to get off at this stop too and the driver had asked a passenger to help unload their luggage from beneath the bus (where mine was). Somehow the helper passenger was able to retrieve the other peoples luggage but mine was obviously buried in the middle. The bus driver then told me I had to find it instead of his helper finding it. I was loaded down with other bags and it was raining (the bus driver was holding a rag on his bald head like he would melt if it fell off and he couldnt stand to get rained on). My sweetie was still en route when the bus driver told me I could either get back on the bus or stay here...without my luggage!! So by the time my sweetie arrives, the bus is gone...and so is my luggage. We ended up driving to Norcross to try and retrieve my luggage and it was a different bus driver who told us to go to the terminal in Atlanta to retrieve my luggage. We drove all the way to the terminal (at airport) in Atlanta and it was closed. There was another one in a really bad neighborhood of downtown Atlanta and we had no luck there either. So I have been calling number after number that Greyhound people keep giving me and no one seems to be able to give me any answers on where to find my luggage. If anyone knows anything about Greyhound or has any idea who I should call any advice/info is appreciated. I have already called local terminals and the people who are supposed to know how to handle these sort of situations. I have also submitted information on their website for lost luggage. So I wait.... NEVER riding Greyhound again. It was my 2nd or 3rd time this trip, and the last trips were not bad, but never pleasant (I just have a high tolerance for suffering I guess.) So this was definitely my LAST.
