My theory for warp speed... Imagine an arrow or a slingshot pellet. Then imagine big long rubber strings that are connected to the arrow/pellet and those strings are stretched out from a destination. When the projectile is released, the string pulls it towards the destination. So why bother becoming light, or dicing ourselves up into molecules if we can simply bring the destination to us; instead of going to it?
