My thought for the day; ‘Dream World’ The world of dreams - TopicsExpress

My thought for the day; ‘Dream World’ The world of dreams so amazes me – they can seem so real. And yet they can be surreal in ways that we can’t experience the ordinary world. I fell asleep earlier on the couch and dreamed (first) that I was walking through a meadow heading toward an inviting path that cut into the trees. I stopped to pick some tiny wild strawberries even though I already had a handful of elderberries that I would occasionally throw into the air to see if I could catch them with my mouth as they came down. (I’m just as weird in my dreams as I am in real life. :) The thing I noticed as I bent to pick the berries was that my body was made of a cascade of golden sparkles of light; for a while I followed myself along the wooded path (you can do that in a dream…lol) and I was amazed how the light seemed to vibrate throughout my body (which seemed ethereal rather than solid) with the brightest light emanating from the center. The next thing I knew I was transported inside a house that we were apparently just moving into. I liked that it had two bathrooms even though one was not quite finished. There was one room in particular that attracted my attention; it contained a desk, two chairs and a sewing machine. I wanted to move the sewing machine OUT and build shelves along three walls with a wider shelf in the middle (more like a table) built the length of the room. (I was envisioning myself having room to lay out my manuscripts into some sort of order.) A task I really need to attend to. I also determined that the desk, which was facing the wall, had to be moved to face the only window in the room (which seemed much too small) and had thoughts of replacing it with a bay window with a comfy built-in window seat, complete with an adjustable reading lamp on the wall. When I woke up I was quite disappointed to find myself on the couch in a living room I’m all too familiar with. Where do dreams come from - and why must we awaken? I would have been so content to keep dreaming forever. :)
