My thoughts about Noah. To quote Pablo Picasso, Art is a lie that makes us realize truth. Noah, the movie, isnt necessarily for Christians. We already know the story. But by an Atheist making a movie about Noah, well thats going to bring in the audience we should hope it does and expose them to a story they may have never heard. Face it, an atheist isnt going to go see Gods Not Dead. How many of you have seen characteristics of Jesus in the characters of 300 or The Avengers? Fiction can still give us truth. And honestly, sometimes thats the only way people will receive it. Why do you think Jesus told so many parables? No one questioned whether he had the story right or not, they looked for the message. Sure Noah is not completely accurate, but it does deliver a few messages of truth and it does help others see him as real instead of a cartoon character who lived to the beat of a cheesy song. When you look at these things, try to see them from an objective point of view. The movie isnt for you. Time after time God used ungodly men in scripture to fulfill his will. So an atheist made a movie about Noah. Dont underestimate what God will do with it. Instead of complaining and boycotting it, how about inviting someone who doesnt believe to go with you and start praying it invites them to read the real story. Start praying for the conversation that comes afterward. Theres my peace.
