My thoughts on the recent move by the good Dr. The doctor has made a decent living from his interest in Bigfoot; and it does not appear to me; that he has suffered any academic downside to his involvement. Thus I see no need to be patting him on the back for his recent, pubic support of a known hoaxer. Establishing a non credit course; once again benefits the good Dr. He has a greater burden of responsibility to investigate those he gets into bed with; simply due to his position in the community. The fact he has benefited in many ways, both directly and indirectly from Bigfooters, does give them a certain right to voice their opinions. I do not condone personal attacks, but I sure as hell can understand why people are pissed. Theyve bought the Drs books, theyve attended functions where he was a paid speaker, theyve funded his camping trips and research. His followers, and fans are the reason he keeps getting gigs to go on T.V. Which he gets paid for. It is a dangerous path one takes, when money is involved. Especially when you are suppose to be ferreting out the truth. And money, greed and seeking the truth; rarely go hand in hand.
