My thoughts on the weekend. First, I have an awesome husband and kids. The former trekked all the way to Denver with me, put up with the loonies on EVERY single street corner and sat through the ballet. The latter kept the critters fed and medicated in our absence. I took not one single photograph in Denver. However, I will try to share a couple I got from the Moscow Ballets Great Russian Nutcracker FB page. All I can say is, Wow! These performers are extraordinary athletes and artists. And the Paramount is truly a grand old theatre. (Also, although we did not stay there, we took Rhondas advice and browsed through the Brown Palace. Talk about marvelous - and wonderfully historic.) What a weekend. Now all I want is sleep. I am trying to be brave and stay up will 8:00 but I dont know if Ill make it. And this weekend is shaping up to be insane. Terrys aunt Darlene died last week so he is making another long trip this week only this one for a saddler purpose. (Waynes oldest sibling.) Rhonda took a tumble at her friends house in Scottsbluff, where she was enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday - up until she slipped off a fence, grabbed for a portapanel, and either pulled the whole works over on herself or just simply did a nose dive, catching her forehead on something terribly hard. Apparently she looks somewhat like Frankenstein with 40-70 stitches in her head so for all of you who know Rhonda Stearns, prayers are in order. (She was not, at last word, hospitalized - and is, at last word, expecting to drive home in two or three days.) Oh, all of that to say that our trip to Medora and North Dakotas badlands is off - which is probably for the best, as the weather looks like its going to get really wintry by Tuesday and through the end of the week. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Our family certainly did! We are truly blessed.
