My thoughts right now... Tomorrow half of us kids plan to gather at my dad & stepmoms for Thanksgiving dinner, and there is always a chance we still wont make it with how fragile Abigail is. All of us siblings havent been together since moms funeral in September 2007, thats over 7 years ago! Separated by distance, illness, or busyness. Its been almost 2 months since Ive saw my dad & stepmom and we live just 15 minutes from them... usually even more time passes without us having contact besides the occasional text or Facebook comment. To be honest, I am so busy here at home with my own family that I dont even notice how much time passes or how quickly. We have 7 of our own kids plus 1 missing who is with us in spirit (remembered and missed daily)... life is busy, life is FULL ... so full of blessings and all that it takes to raise the next generation. I am so thankful that God blessed me with my own family and life to share with Joey, so that Im never alone! And thankful that He gave us a few holidays in the year to give us a reason to reconnect with our extended families, too. We cant make it to every holiday celebration, but we usually make it to one or two each year. And someday well all be in heaven together with nobody missing! Praise God! What are you thankful for?
