My white privilege- I stopped and stood by a man who was being questioned by the police for driving while black in a white neighborhood last week to be sure he didnt get harassed. The police officer let him go. Last night, while waiting for my hamburger, I was tired and hungry and (shamefully) said nothing while my white server talked to her coworker about a house that was really nice but she wouldnt buy it because, you know, its in Ferguson (meaningful silent look between the two). Because Im white, I had the option to do both.
