My white walls were naked for quite some time. I felt it is the time to put some of my fathers art on it. My father is an Icon. Many artists follow the “Tarkay Style”- characteristics (women sitting in cafes, indoors or outdoors, impeccable color combinations and patterns) . My father was very creative and productive. His Gallery has done a great job making my father a famous and popular artist. When I went to the storage house last week I didn’t know what to expect. It was a big surprise. Thousands of paintings that were made since the early 60’s till his last days. I was looking for an art that will is the canvas of my life. I knew I cannot find it in his “Tarkay Style” zone. I was looking for work when Tarkay was just my father- before he became a famous artist. I managed to mine those 2 pieces. 1. The View (that’s how I call it). 2. Lucy- That’s how everybody calls her. Lucy made my father famous. This image was reproduced for posters, Serigraphs, Books and Catalogs. “Tarkay Style” that not many people know.
