My wonderful, helpful, and amazing brother Lloyd William Chapman - TopicsExpress

My wonderful, helpful, and amazing brother Lloyd William Chapman came by my school this morning to take some measurements and look at a construction job that Id called him about. We also walked outside to look at some picnic tables that Jennifer Brock Huskins had asked Lloyd about refurbishing. I didnt take my sweater outside when we went, and it was way colder than I thought it was going to be. I knocked on Vanessa Kellys door - she teaches kindergarten boys - hoping she wouldnt mind the interruption. She opened the door and Vanessa graciously allowed Lloyd and me to cut through her classroom. As we were halfway across the room, one of the students asked, Mrs. Cope, is that your Daddy? Before I could answer him, another boy said loudly, Naw, that aint her Daddy; thats her Granddaddy. Laughing, I turned to Lloyd to make sure he had heard exactly what the boys had said. (Lloyd is severely hearing impaired.) Lloyd playfully told the students, Hey! Yall fellows listen here. I am NOT her Daddy. I am NOT her Granddaddy. Just then, a third student raised his hand. When Lloyd asked him what it was that he wanted to say, the little boy sweetly asked, Are yall sisters? Poor Lloyd. He said hes never coming back to see me when the students are here. I love you, BROTHER! Always. Forever. No Matter What.
