My youngest Brother-in-law Mr. Hedayetul Islam Chowdhury Retird Secretary and Ambassador died in a hospital in Delhi, India today, while undergoing treatment for liver transplant during the recovery period (Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Ilahi Rajiun). Hedayet Bhai one of the top few of his batch was a brilliant officer of Bangladesh Government served the entire period of his service with dedication and sincerity very little of which was paid in return though. A highly competent civil servant who had enormous contribution to the different reform programs of the Bangladesh Government civil administrations. Successfully served as an Ambassador of Bangladesh to Brunei and Abudhabi. A dear and loving husband of Sabina my youngest sister, caring father of Mahbub and Sadia. Hedayet Bhai had been an example of a Husband, Father and brother to the family. A person down to earth, extremely sociable and simple in mind and behavior. No matter how much I write about him would be enough. I deeply mourn his demise and pray to Allah Almighty to rest him in Peace and Honer under HIS supervision. Hedayet Bhai returned to his creator in the Holy month of Ramadan. I am sure Allah has special place for him in the heaven. I have no words of consolation for Sabina, Mahbub and Sadia who lost their husband and father but will ask them to have patience and strength to bear with this irrecoverable loss. I also express my deep sympathy to all members of his family and pray that they may bear with the loss. Please pray for the departed soul.
