Mysterious murder case of labor solved within 24 hours, Co- labor held =>Udhampur Police achieved major success by solving a mysterious murder case within 24 hours of one contractual laborer engaged by one MES Contractor at Airforce Station Natnatop and was killed by one of his co-laborer falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Kud here today . The accused has been identified as Tirath Ram S/o Meer Chand R/o Kither, Udhampur . Reports said that based on an information received from one Air force personnel namely J.P Singh of Air force Station Nathatop that one of the contractual workers namely Shankar Lal S/o Fateh Singh R/o Latyar, Lander, Tehsil and District Udhampur was found dead on a bed inside his room with a rope in his neck, a Case FIR No. 82/2013 dated 12/07/2013 U/S 302/RPC was registered in Police Station Kud and a Police party swung into action and reached on the spot, collected crime details from the scene of crime and started thorough investigation. During the course of investigation, Police Party noticed that although the room was bolted from inside but a window pan was broken. Taking lead from this evidence, police party enquired about co-workers who used to stay along with the deceased in that room and came to know that 04 contractual laborers used to stay there, out of which two were on leave and on that very day only 02 laborers were there out of which one had already been killed. Subsequently, Police immediately searched and arrested another co-worker namely Tirath Ram S/o Meer Chand R/o Kither, Udhampur who was there along with him on that very day. During the sustained interrogation, the said suspect broke up and confessed to the commission of murder of his co-worker stating that the deceased worked used to abuse him of his daughter and on that very day also he abused him of his daughter in drunken condition and getting annoyed and irritated of that he strangulated him with his hands to death, bolted the door from inside and fled away after breaking the window pan. During questioning the accused also revealed that the rope which was found in the neck of the deceased was kept by him with the intention to mislead the investigating Police team by way of giving it the shape of a suicidal death but he could not escape himself from the sharp eyes of investigating team who very professionally busted the nefarious design of accused of misleading the investigating team after committing murder. The dead body of the deceased was handed over to his family members after post-mortem for performing last rites and further investigation of the case is going on.
