Média and Public Advisory Eastern Cape Churches Host a Prayer Session ; on International Childrens Day ; 01 June 2014 In line with the East Cape Provincial Governments decision to engage with communities and various stakeholders to move the Eastern Cape Province Forward post May 7 victory; the political leadership as it begins its work in partnership with the clergy as well as believers from all faiths; will assemble in a Prayer Session; on Sunday; 1st June 2014 in East London. Details are as follows: DATE: Sunday;01 June 2014 Time: 17h00-21h00 Venue: Jan Smuts Stadium.. 2 RECREATION RD; Arcadia; East London... Who is expected to attend: Eastern Cape based churches with about 6 000 believers ( Imvuselelo) Premier Phumulo Masualle and the entire Eastern Cape Executive Council ( new MECs) and all the Members of the Provincial Legislature ( MPLs) Purpose of the Prayer Session: Together with communities; to Pray for Gods Divine intervention and Guidance from Abaphantsi as we embark on the task of implementing Governments programmes during this current Administration. The Eastern Cape has a Rich Heritage that far predates 2014 with Rev Tiyo Sogas( 1829 - 1871) Lizalis idinga lakho; Thixo Nkosi yethu....The Prayer Session will be invoking God to Fulfil his Promise, the God Lord of Truth....to guide those that will perform the Act of Governance to do so with integrity. Who else is involved: Umhlobo weNene is our media partner and will broadcast the Prayer Session live from 19h05 pm. What else does the Prayer Session seek to achieve? 1 June is the beginning of Child Protection Week; the session will also focus on the plight of children and initiatives Government must take to make their lives better.
