>N*E*W*S- Court Sacks Osun REC, says Osun 2011 elections null and void... The Appeal Court sitting in Akure, Ondo State today ordered the sack of Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Amb. Rufus Akeju. The judgement was unanimously delivered by Justice Mi sheila,justice Lokular Shodipo,justice Ariyibi,justice F.A Akinbami and Justice B. M ugor The Federal High Court, Osogbo in 2011 gave a similar ruling when allegation of having close tie with the National Leader of the then ACN (now APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, where it barred Amb. Akeju from been recognised as the State REC and also conducting the 2011 general election. It was gathered that the Appeal court judgement, also by extension implies to the sack of all Senators, House of Representatives members and members of the State House of Assembly, which the ousted Osun REC conducted their elections, as it was regarded as null and void.
