NATIONAL RESTORATION PARTY PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT SATA’S RESPONSE OVER HIS ENDORSEMENT We as National Restoration Party would like to commend his Excellency, President Michael Sata for finally speaking out on the calls for his endorsement as sole candidate in the 2016 elections. This issue has been going on for some time now and has brought about a lot of confusion in the country which has resulted in properties being destroyed. NAREP and the entire nation kept on wondering for how long we would all continue to endure the confusion that was coming with these endorsements. But, finally President Sata has come out of his shell and ordered a stop, over his endorsement. Lately, there has been cries by some Patriotic Front cadres for the resignation of Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba who is also the Justice Minister over the endorsement of President Sata. Furthermore, there have been threats by the cadres to deal with any senior member who is against the endorsement of President Sata. One thing we should not forget is that Zambia was declared a Christian nation by the late Republican President, Dr Fredrick Chiluba. But it seems like political party cadres are not conducting themselves in the right manner hence painting a bad picture of our peaceful country. The President has taken the right step by putting an end to his endorsement as they were disturbing the peace that Zambians have been enjoying since independence. Let us not allow any political party whether in government or in opposition to disturb the unity that Zambia has. We therefore advise the Patriotic Front members and their cadres not to go against President Sata’s command over his endorsement but should instead work to together in harmony.
