NBA MOCK DRAFT: FIRST ROUND 1. Cleveland: Ben McLemore, 6-5, SG, Kansas. If the Ray Allen comparisons are even close to true, you have to take him. Plus, the Cavs said to be shying from Nerlens Noel. 2. Orlando: Nerlens Noel, 6-11, C, Kentucky. He can run, he can jump, and, man, he can block shots. But about that ACL ... 3. Washington: Otto Porter, 6-9, SF, Georgetown. Classic small forward who does everything well. May be a better pro than college player. 4. Charlotte: Victor Oladipo, 6-4, SG, Indiana. Stock rising. Athletic and determined defender, but his offense has a ways to go at the next level. 5. Phoenix: Anthony Bennett, 6-8, PF, UNLV. Strong underneath but needs to expand his game away from basket. 6. New Orleans: Alex Len, 7-1, C, Maryland. Stock continues to rise and fall. May be the most well-rounded center in the draft. 7. Sacramento: Trey Burke, 6-0, PG, Michigan. Determined winner with all the needed point guard skills. 8. Detroit: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, 6-6, SG, Georgia. Scores in bunches with a solid midrange game. 9. Minnesota: C.J. McCollum, 6-3, SG, Lehigh. Intelligent, driven and athletic enough. May be a bit small to play the two. 10. Portland: Cody Zeller, 7-0, C/PF, Indiana. Very skilled and athletic but lacked aggressiveness in the NCAA tournament. 11. Philadelphia: Kelly Olynak, 7-0, C, Gonzaga. Has a bit of a wild streak in him. Willing to mix it up with a solid midrange game. 12. Oklahoma City: Steve Adams, 7-0, C, Pittsburgh. Clogs the lane, sets picks and rebounds. Underrated offensively, too. 13. Dallas: Michael Carter-Williams, 6-6, PG, Syracuse. Smart and unselfish. Has good size for a point guard. Mavs are desperately trying to deal this pick. 14. Utah: Shabazz Muhammad, 6-6, SF, UCLA. Slasher and scorer whose stock is sliding as the draft nears. 15. Milwaukee: Shane Larkin, 5-11, PG, Miami. Climbing quickly. Probably because he’s extremely athletic and has all the point guard tools. 16. Boston: Rudy Gobert, 7-2, C, France. Can alter shots just by standing near the basket and sticking his arms straight up. Has a developing offensive game. 17. Atlanta: Gorqui Dieng, 6-11, C/PF, Louisville. Outstanding athlete with size, but his skills and timing need some work. 18. Atlanta: Reggie Bullock, 6-7, SF, North Carolina. Not great in any one area but a scorer in every sense of the word. 19. Cleveland: Sergey Karasev, 6-7, SF, Russia. May be the best all-around small forward the in draft. Questionable motivation, though. 20. Chicago: Jamaal Franklin, 6-5, SG, San Diego State. Always intense and has a fair amount of athleticism. Inconsistent shooter. 21. Utah: Dennis Schroeder, 6-2, PG, Germany. Pushes ball and distributes well. Doubts about his halfcourt game abound. 22. Brooklyn: Tony Mitchell, 6-9, PF, North Texas. Scrappy and can score near the basket. Determined rebounder. 23. Indiana: Allen Crabbe, 6-6, SG, California. If he gets to his spot on the perimeter, it’s lights out. 24. New York: Mason Plumlee, 7-1, C, Duke. Good ball-handler for a big man; rarely makes a wrong play. 25. L.A. Clippers: Tim Hardaway Jr., 6-6, SG, Michigan. Natural scorer with mental toughness. 26. Minnesota: Glen Rice Jr., 6-6, SG, D-League. Wing who can really shoot and appears NBA-ready. 27. Denver: Ricky Ledo, 6-6, SG, Providence. Nice upside but a little inconsistent on both ends. 28. San Antonio: Deshaun Thomas, 6-7, SF, Ohio State. Always looking to score and usually does it pretty well. 29. Oklahoma City: Tony Snell, 6-7, SG, New Mexico. Does enough of everything well, especially play hard. 30. Phoenix: Lucas Nogueira, 7-0, C, Brazil. Big man who plays with tons of energy and hustle. Not really skilled. SECOND ROUND 31. Cleveland: Erick Green, 6-3, PG/SG, Virginia Tech 32.
