NEED MORE TEST MATCHES Is it the RLIF a full representative calendar yearly for The Pacific nations . This year we saw Pacific powers Fiji and Samoa face off in the 2014 Pacific Rugby League International. The two Pacific Nations were looking to secure a place in the 2014 Rugby League Four Nations. The match was played on Saturday the 3rd of May at Penrith Stadium with Samoa getting the victory . The NRL let there Samoan and Fijian players available for this Test Match . That same weekend The PNG Hunters had a bye what a perfect opportunity it would have been for PNG Kumuls / Residents play sanctioned Test Match against either Tonga or Cook Islands . We would have had PNG NRL boys Mead , Segeyaro and Thompson available for selection along with our Hunters , DIGICEL players . The NRL and RLIF keep saying we want to grow the game internationally and focus on developing our Pacific Nations . Why not have more yearly sanctioned Test Matches . We should have a yearly Mid Season Test Matches with PNG , Samoa , Fiji , Tonga and Cook Islands . With Pacific Islanders dominating the NRL these days does it make logic to have more Pacific Test Matches. This October PNG Kumuls play Tonga in a one off Test Match the last time we played Tonga was in The Pacific Cup final 2009 . We have enough Pacific Nations playing rugby league to have a yearly representative Calendar. Should we bring back The Pacific Cup yearly it will give all the Pacific Nations a chance to play more then just Test Match a year . Gives our PNG players more exposure and experience on the world class level instead of a one off PM Xlll game yearly . By having a regular Calender of Pacific Test Matches it should some players opting for QLD , NSW, NZ and Australia . All Test Matches must be sanctioned through the RLIF . Pacific Nations Rep Calender Auckland Nines Febuary Should include Pacific Nations Mid Season May Test Matches With Tonga , Samoa , Cook Islands , PNG , NZ Moaris Pacific Cup in October With PNG ,Tonga , Samoa , Fiji , Cook Islands , NZ Moaris , Aboriginal , USA
