NEVER FORGET THE CROSS & CRUCIFICATION OF JESUS:: For its impossible for those who were once enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame. (Heb. 6:4-6). A friend of mine told me of what happened in a particular spiritual blessed country. There rose up of group of preachers, who always preached about faith. Through them many miracles happened; the lame walked; the blind received their eye-sight; wheel-chair users lumped up, walking; Christs name was glorified! Yet, not even one of them preached about the death of Jesus in the Cross at Calvary. Because, they adhered the theological code that the cross shows the weakness of Christ and it is rather shameful to preach about it; they took their cue from!! 1Cor. 13:4 For though He was crucified in weakness ... They were quite adamant about not preaching about the Cross. Days passed! NOW NONE OF THEM IS IN GOSPEL MINISTRY AT ALL; ALL OF THEM HAVE DISAPPEARED! Quite contrary to this theory, look at what St. Paul who bore in his body the marks of the Lord Jesus says: But God forbid that I should glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.., (Gal. 6:14). Only because he glorified the Cross, he was able to say: I hare fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up far me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day. (II Tim. 4:7,8). He was able to declare so positively and stand steadfast in Christ until the end. He was also able to soy: For am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ (Ram. 1:16) But God forbid that! should glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and Ito the world. (Go1.6:14) My dearly beloved, let us ask: Lord do I behave unjustly? Do I feel ashamed to preach about your death on the Cross? Let us turn to God and beg, Lord, save me from be¬ing unjust to You. Grant me the grace to glorify Your sufferings on the cross and never be ashamed to speak about it. He will never allow us to act unjusily He will enable us to win our race and ultimately crown us with the crown of righteousness. For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, ... of how much worse punishment, do you sup¬pose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Sort of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? - Hide quoted text - When I was a young man, there was a very good preacher. Traveling over to many places, he used to preach very effectively in churches, colleges and public meetings. As time elapsed, his name could not be heard at at all. So, I made enquiries about him with elders who had known him very well. What they told me shocked me. He had united himself with a sect holding a strange creed, denying the truth that Jesus Christ is God, manifested In flesh. In course of time, the power of Jesus in him also faded. He forgot the truth that the blood of Jesus had washed him clean; he rejected the fullness of the Holy Spirit, losing all the exalted spiritual experiences granted by the Holy Spirit. He trampled upon the holy blood which had cleansed him underfoot, lost the divine glory he had, and passed away. So went the report! Let this be a harsh warning to us, Signs and wonders may occur in our ministry; countless people may repent! Nevertheless, do we disrespect, in some manner, the Son of God, who loved us and gave up His life for us? Are we crucifying Him again? Have we, at anytime trampled upon His blood underfoot? Are we in compliance with the modern Bible twisters who refuse to accept Jesus Christ as the true God? Have we rejected the very idea of meditating on the crucifixion scenario? Are we living unaware of the punishment that will be meted out to us because of these sins? We should analyse our minds with the help of such questions. We should never take our eyes off from the Cross and we should meditate upon the sufferings of Christ on the Cross, every day! Has He not bought us at a price, shedding His invaluable, precious blood? (I Cor. 6:20). Therefore, in our ministry and in our messages we should never forget the Cross or trample on His blood underfoot; We should be thus careful in giving all the glory to Him! He will continue, with great joy, to use us mightily! BRO DGS DHINAKARAN MESSAGE PUBLISHED IN JESUS CALLS MAGAZINE
