NEW FREE TRAINING COURSES AVAILABLE FROM MEC HAVE you ever considered learning a new skill or hobby but haven’t got around to doing anything about it? Middlesbrough Environment City’s new programme of short taster courses may have just what you’ve been looking for. From February to August MEC are offering free courses in the following subjects: Vegetable growing Cycle maintenance Healthy cooking Energy efficiency in the home Environmental awareness The courses last between one and three days and are open to anybody aged 19 or over who has been resident in the UK for at least three years. The courses are funded by Middlesbrough Community Learning Service and will be delivered at various venues across the town. They are aimed at beginners so no prior knowledge or skills are required.
