NEW! HOTEL JOBS IN CANADA DELTA HOTELS IS HIRING Summary The role of the Chef de Partie is to create and deliver culinary delights. Description of Accountability Assists in managing culinary operations, which includes providing leadership as both a coach and in food preparation to ensure guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Organizes area of responsibility to meet the production requirements as communicated by the Chef and other members of the culinary leadership team. Responsible for the training of individuals on his/her shift in accordance with the objectives for each individual. Leads the work of culinary team in the absence of the Sous Chef and/or Chef distributes work assignments. Assists in the training of outlets culinary employees. The chef de partie will be responsible for the implementation of new menus as well as the production and standardization of those menus. Ensures the safe operation of kitchen equipment by inspecting for, reporting and correcting safety hazards. Assists in menu planning and analysis of menu item performance for all Outlets. Makes assessments as to production methods for menu items and communicates these recommendations to the Chef. Anticipates and ensures entire area of responsibility has sufficient materials and preparation to meet production requirements. Prepares food items designated to the area of responsibility in accordance with standards of quality, technique, quantity control, taste and presentation as established by the Executive Chef. Inspects the food to ensure quality. Maintains sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that comply with the Health Board regulations. Maintains the work area in a safe and organized manner. Maintain and improves upon the organization and cleanliness of the work area and the rest of the kitchen. This will include all storage room and fridge and freezer spaces. Performs other tasks as assigned. Upholds Delta Standards and acts as Skills Trainer for new outlet culinary team members. Adheres to Delta Hotels & Resorts environmental and community polices.
