✴NEW LOOK AT JENNIFER ANISTON, OWEN WILSON, RHYS IFANS, IMOGEN POOTS, WILL FORTE & MORE IN THE NEW COMEDY SHES FUNNY THAT WAY. She’s Funny That Way has been in the making for almost a decade now, and after years of waiting, and a title change from the original Squirrels to the Nuts along the way, the comedy finally had its debut out in Venice last week. Ahead of its bow on the festival circuit, we were recently treated to a handful of images from the film. And now a quartet of new images has surfaced to join them, teasing another look at the very promising leading cast. Young Hollywood starlet Isabella Patterson recalls how the actions of a charming Broadway director, Arnold Albertson, changed her life forever. As told to a reporter in a not-so-reliable recollection of events, the Brooklyn-born former escort reminisces about how a rendezvous with the director turned into a larger-than-expected sum of money and an offer she couldn’t refuse. Like a cockeyed fairy tale, a chain of events affecting the lives of everyone involved, including Arnold’s wife Delta, leading man Seth Gilbert, playwright Joshua Fleet and even Isabella’s therapist Jane ensues. Imogen Poots stars as the young Hollywood starlet, with Owen Wilson cast opposite her as Broadway director Arnold Albertson, with Jennifer Aniston, Kathryn Hahn, Will Forte, Rhys Ifans, Lucy Punch, Ahna O’Reilly, Cybill Shepherd, Joanna Lumley, Jake Hoffman, and Tatum O’Neal rounding out the ensemble, with appearances from Richard Lewis and Quentin Tarantino. Bogdanovich makes his return behind the camera for his first feature in over a decade, directing from a script he co-wrote with ex-wife Louise Stratten, who earns her debut credit as a writer. No word yet on when we can expect She’s Funny That Way to arrive in cinemas, but with such a stellar leading cast in front of the camera, and Wes Anderson and Noah Baumbach serving as executive producers behind it, things are hopefully looking good for a distributor coming on board in the US and the UK.
