NEW YEARS MESSAGE FROM THE SHERIFF As 2015 nears, I would like to thank the entire Putnam County community for making 2014 one to remember for the Sheriff’s Office. Since September I have been humbled and privileged to have been elected and serve as the Sheriff of Putnam County. Throughout my professional career, I have been faced with many tasks and challenges. Through every situation, I rose to meet those challenges and I am committed to doing the same as your Sheriff as we move the agency forward as one of the best in Tennessee. Our goals going forward will be to establish a cohesive and productive working environment within the Sheriff’s Office and to build strong, long-term partnerships with the community. We will focus on crime prevention; crime control; safety and awareness; community involvement; and maintain the highest standards for employee education, training and professionalism. The members of my Command Staff will lead by example, upholding the laws and be open, honest and fiscally responsible to the community we serve. To the men and women of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, I respect and appreciate you and look forward to working with you. We will work together, in support of one another and for the benefit of the citizens fortunate enough to call Putnam County home. On behalf of the men and women of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, I wish you and your family a very Happy and Safe New Year!
