NEWS FROM THAMES VALLEY POLICE: APPEAL FOR INFORMATION AFTER AN ASSAULT - BANBURY Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Woodfield, Banbury. At 7.15pm on Wednesday two men were disturbed at the side of the victims’ home. Once challenged, the two men moved away from the area, but were followed by the two victims who questioned their intentions. The two men were joined by two further men. The confrontation then resulted in an assault. The two male victims, both in their early twenties, were each punched in the face and sustained injuries. The first offender is described as white, 5ft 10in to 6ft, late twenties to early thirties, with blond hair and of stocky build. He was wearing black clothes, a balaclava and a knuckle duster. The second offender is described as 5ft to 6ft tall, wearing black clothes and a balaclava. The third man in the group is described as 5ft to 6ft tall, of medium build, similarly dressed. The fourth man in the group is described as 5ft 10in to 6ft tall, with similar build and dress as the third man. After the assault, all four men left in a silver BMW 5 Series Saloon with a missing rear registration plate, being driven by a fifth white man. Det Sgt James Bonner, investigating, said: “We are keen to hear from any member of the public who has seen anything suspicious in this area, including out-of-place vehicles or people knocking on doors trying to sell goods.
