NEWS UPDATE -Makerere University Lecturers have called off the strike after the university Council decided to raise their pay by 70 percent from the internal budget. -At least 41 people have been killed in a bus crash near the Kenyan town of Narok, west of the capital Nairobi, the Red Cross says. -The Uganda Government intends to impose a forced holiday to all fishermen across the country. The state minister of fisheries Ruth Nankabirwa noted that, this holiday intends to make lakes rest to rejuvenate and to allow the fish to grow without pressure from fishermen. -Two people were killed when an artillery shell crashed close to a Rwandan market near the border with Democratic Republic of Congo on Thursday, residents in the Rwandan frontier town of Gisenyi said. -Britain could launch strikes against the Syrian regime without the backing of the United Nations, according to its own legal advice. The advice states the legal basis for any such action would be "humanitarian intervention", even if UN permanent members Russia and China block it.
