NEWS UPDATE @ 8AM WITH ORANGE UGANDA JFK - 50 YEARS ON: Today is 50 years since Americas youngest president, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was assassinated in what continues to be one of historys most enigmatic events. Doctors continue to look for clues to Kennedys secret medical history, five decades on. At 43, Kennedy was elected U.S. president following a campaign that portrayed him as the epitome of youth and vigour. But a review of Kennedy’s White House medical records and correspondence from his physicians revealed a complex medical history. BESIGYE, LUKWAGO EXPECTED BACK IN COURT: Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago and FDCs Kizza Besigye who were released yesterday on UGX40m non-cash bail each are expected back in court on December 11, 2013. The two were released more than 70 hours after they were arrested. They face the charge of being members of an unlawful societ contrary to Section 58 of the Penal Code Act. In court, they declined to plead either guilty or not guilty, pointing out that they had been in police detention beyond the constitutional 48 hours without being produced and formally charged.
