Cabinet has approved the ratification of the mutual defence pact, 2014 .Information Minister Rosemary Namayanja says the pact is in compliance with the provisions of the memorandum of understanding on the fast-tracking East African Integration which was agreed by the Tripartite States on 28th October 2013. The pact will encounter threats against regional security with immediate collective action by all partner States. Police Elite Flying Squad has arrested a suspected serial armed robber said to be terrorizing Kampala residents. Swaibu Kirabira commonly known as Fox heads a notorious gang of six hardcore criminals and has over eight files of various cases at different police stations in the city. Kirabira’s gang is notorious for raiding people’s homes and raping women and girls while the men are forced to watch.
