NIGERIA LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN MĚŘIT AWARDS TO ZONAL WINNERS, HELD ON THE 13TH, 2014 AŤ SHERATON HOTEL AND TOWERS, ABUJA!!! The Ceremony is packaged to celebrate the good and exemplary leadership ať the grassroots. To signpost them as a model in our society that pays little or no premium on excellence. The choice of the awardees from the six geopolitical zones of the country was after a thorough scrutiny of public opinion polls as was published in the national newspapers particularly in the Daily Sun of Thursday August 22, 2013. After due verification of projects, the five (5) Local Government Chairmen of Orrire in Oyo; Guma in Benue; Nembe in Bayelsa; Kurmi in Taraba and Kargako in Kaduna Státě were chosen as the winners for South-West Zone; North-Central; South-South; North-East Zone & Notth-West Zone respectively, the South-East zone was exempted as their Local Government Systém is not static and stable. The awardees are not just conferred with the award but was equally presented with Ten (10) seater bus each as a reward of excellence. In the words of the Chief Executive Officer of Mentors Communication Limited and Editor-in-Chief of LandMarks Magazine Comrade Bayode Ojo, call on leaders in various sectors to see public office as a trust and should therefore reflect and contribute in thoughts and deeds on those things that could move the country forward. The occassion also witness the launching of the special edition of the LANDMARKS MAGAZINE, package to document the lives and achievements of the awardees. The ceremony was chaired by the National President of ALGON, Hon. (Barr). Okefor Nwabueze who was ably represented by Chief Venatus Okefor, SA on média and protocol. The Executive Chairman of Nembe Local Government Area, Hon. Eminah Bioghoemi Benneth who is the recipient of the South-South geopolitical zone award was ably represented by Hon. (Barr). Oteigbanyon George Braah in his remarks, posit that the Executive Chairman was unable to be present due to security challanges in his domain, he thanks the organizers of the honour done him & the Nembe people and attributed the award as a unanimity and collective understanding amongs the different arms of governance, therefore it will spur him to deliver to three grassroot on the dividend of democracy according to his electioneering campaigns in tandem with the Restoration Agenda of Hon. Seriake Henry Dickson, the Governor of Bayelsa Státě, as he understand the plight of the rural dwellers because he is also a product of the grassroot. He dedicate the award to God Almighty, his Amiable wife and to the Nembe community in generál, thereafter the key to the Ten (10) Seater bus was handed over to the representative of the Nembe Council boss, Hon.
