NJWB Poll: Please respond to the question in the comment box. NJ Weather Blogs & GeoEnvironmental Atmosphere have been in talks about making a weather app for everyone. The weather app would be on all markets (Apple, Google Play, Amazon, and Kindle) and would give you a direct feed to all important weather updates and forecasts instead of looking for status updates on Facebook, which only 1/4 of you get since Facebook wants me to pay money to reach more of you. The idea is only in the beginning stages but has the ability to be a great tool for all of you weather enthusiasts who want to know whats happening in New Jersey before it happens. As far as pricing, I want to know where everyone stands. If the app was .99 cents, all the money would be put towards future products/merchandising for you. None of the money would be used for personal gain. Another idea if it is possible, to make a free app with ads that has an in-app purchase option of .99 cents to remove the ads. My questions for you are; 1. Would you even want a weather app by NJ Weather Blogs & GEA? 2. Would you pay .99 cents for an app? A lot of money would have to be put up front by both teams and we just want to see if all of you are even interested in the idea before the ideas on the drawing board get put into motion. I appreciate the feedback as I am always looking to improve services that I am bring to the New Jersey community.
