NO YORUBA TRADTIONAL RULERS MUST TRADE AWAY THE YORUBA AGENDA FOR 2015 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN PLACE OF THE REGIONAL AUTONOMY DEMANDS OF THE ENTIRE YORUBA NATION AND OUR 50 MILLON PEOPLE: No Yoruba must betray these latest articulated and collective demands of 50 million Yorubas suffering lives within Nigeria, at the president Goodluck Jonathan national conference. The reported visits of the president of the Nigerian federal republic to some traditional rulers within the Yoruba nation where he held secret meetings with them for the reasons best known to the visitor and his host, but let every Yoruba traditional leaders visited by the president irrespective of respected and revere honor we accorded their customary authority and culture as existing custodian of our race, and whatever formed the basis of the issues the president discuss with these our traditional rulers, We the Yoruba would accept nothing rather than our regional autonomy request or better still a sovereign oduduwa republic before any future elections in Nigeria would be collectively be agreeable to the Yoruba nation and its 50 million people. Our traditional leadership must reflected on the aftermath of the Yoruba people reactions, that greeted the annulment June 12 presidential elections and the sustained struggles by the Yoruba nation against successive northern dominated military governments that sat on the annulment, turned our people against some of our traditional rulers and politicians that were used against the demand of the Yoruba people for justice and freedom. Our traditional leadership must learn from a thousand years of Yoruba history, which included eras, where traditional rulers that lost the confidence of our people as it where, then, where forced to commit suicides, revolted against or exiled away from the Yoruba nation. We appeal to our traditional leadership of Oni of Ife, Aalafin of Oyo, The Oba of Lagos, The Akran of Badagry and other Obas, not yet visited by the Nigerian president, to for once, stick with the demand of over 50 million Yorubas to free themselves from the long seasons of deaths, pains, sovereign slavery, poverty, under-development, and monumental political hatred, etc. That, the minimum demand of our people, who were over 50 million, to remain parts of a united Nigeria, after President Jonathan National conference, is a con-federal Regional Autonomy, if rejected by any section or sections within Nigeria, it would then be concluded that, we as a people, have been injected and rejected in Nigeria and we cannot reject ourselves. That at this stage, when our demands were out rightly rejected, the four traditional rulers visited by the Nigerian president, with other top and low Yoruba Obas all across our geography must provide spiritual blessings and opening supports for the 50 million Yorubas to actualized our people quest for self-determination, contrary to whatever President Jonathan had discuss with them. Our future is far more greater than the political aspiration of one man, whose own part of Nigeria, the Niger delta, is in dire need for same thing the Yoruba nation are resolute on, this time around.
