NON-SENSE ORDINANCE: IS RAUL ABOVE GOVERNMENT In a theatrical development, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today made a scathing attack on the government’s (cabinet) decision to pass an ordinance to allow convicted politicians to contest elections in order to nullify the Supreme court`s order. “He described the ordinance as complete nonsense and it should be torn up and thrown away. But question arise who is Rahul Gandhi? Is he above prime minister and cabinet? Is it not an extra-constitutional authority? Is it not a gimmick to hoodwink people? Was not he aware when cabinet took this decision. Yes, as Congress Vice President he has right to appeal cabinet to change decision, but no authority to dictate. But catastrophic thing is that he has dictated cabinet which is inimical and detrimental to our fledgling democracy.
