NOTICE Extraordinary General Body Meeting of the VIVEKANANDA SERVICE SOCIETY, to be held on Sunday the 27th of October, 2013 at `Chequers’ Hotel Ivory Tower, 12th floor, Barton Center, 84 M G Road, Bangalore - 560001 and at any adjournment thereof. Amendment 1 : The Memorandum of Association of the Society shall be amended as follows: In the objectives of the society, at clause “g”, the following words shall be inserted: “ In furtherance of the aims and objectives, the society may identify like minded Societies/registered bodies, fund them or assist them in reaching the beneficiaries.” After amendment, clause “g” shall be read as follows: g. To do all such other lawful acts, deeds and things as are incidental and conducive to the attainment of the above objects. Amendment 2 : The current bye-law reads as below: 4. MEMBERSHIP: a) xxxxx b) Subscription: A minimum of Rs. l,00,000/ - (Rupees One Lakh) shall be paid by every applicant as one time subscription to the Society. The subscription may be paid in convenient installments, but membership will be confirmed only after the entire subscription fee is paid. The proposed amendment is: 4. MEMBERSHIP: a) xxxxx b) Subscription: A minimum of Rs. 25,000/ - (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) shall be paid by every applicant as one time subscription to the Society. The subscription may be paid in convenient installments, but membership will be confirmed only after the entire subscription fee is paid. Every applicant who pays the minimum fees as stated above shall be enrolled as LIFE MEMBER. c) Every LIFE MEMBER, may continue to contribute additional membership fee. Once the membership fee totals to Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only), the life member shall become a PATRON of the society. d) ASSOCIATE MEMBER : An alumnus of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, Mysore, can associate himself with the Society on subscription of Rs.100.00. Such persons will be termed as ASSOCIATE MEMBER. PROVIDED, ASSOCIATE MEMBERS are not be eligible for the privileges as found at Sub Clause (f) of Clause 4. e) Every ASSOCIATE MEMBER, may continue to contribute additional membership fee.
