NOTICE THE LINKS GIVEN @ BOTTOM OF SITE! Dear USDA Employees, As of today, Congress has not yet enacted a budget or continuing resolution funding the Government for all or part of FY 2014. Accordingly, all employees continue to be on furlough except for those who have been designated as excepted under the Antideficiency Act or who are funded through non-appropriated sources. Here is a link dm.usda.gov/beprepared/ to useful information posted by the Department, including the form you will need to apply for unemployment benefits, should you choose to do so. Please note that on the next scheduled pay date (October 17, 2013), you will be paid for hours worked or leave taken through September 30, 2013. Please note that if you have allotments deducted from your paycheck, the full amount will be deducted. All employees who worked on October 1, 2013 to conduct an orderly shutdown and excepted employees who have worked after October 1, will be paid for the hours worked after Congress enacts a budget or continuing resolution. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your families during these days of uncertainty. Thank you for your service and continuing support and patience.
