The prime minister made the comments after handing over project documents to the AntiCorruption Commission last Friday. Xanana also threatened the country’s security force members, such as the Timorese Defense Force (F-FDTL) and the National Police (PNTL) to be sacked from their institution if they were found to have engaged in the martial arts activities. ”We issue the resolution to halt their activities as the situation is hard and it is also because they kill one another. Brother and sisters are divided; we have lost our culture of respecting one another.” ”So, we close them down, we asked their man in charge. I forgive them when I was still being the president of the republic,” he told journalists. The documents which the prime minister handed over to KAK were related to Comoro Bridge and road rehabilitation in the Capital of Dili. ”I came here to hand over documents to help facilitate the function of the Anti-Corruption Commission. Japanese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Yoshitaka Hanada said Okinawa and Timor-Leste had cultural relations through type of “tais” that Timor-Leste had. ”Okinawa also as a tais, tais as an original identity of Timorese people therefore we should promote it to be an industry in the country and to attract tourist for generating incomes for the country,” Hanada said. Hanada said the new program that would be implemented in Comoro Village was conflict prevention project and would establish new community radio to better facilitate the people to share their opinions on conflicts. *Govt to purchase another ship, says PM Xanana *Diario Nacional, July 8, 2013 language source: Tetun Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao said the Government was planning to purchase another ship to complete Berlin-Nakroma in transporting the people of Oe-cusse and Atauro. ”We are now to contact Korea as they produce ships quickly as in Indonesia they produced Nakroma for three years,” Xanana told journslists at KAK offices last Friday. Xanana affirmed that, the Government was concerned about the current conditions of Nakroma; therefore it had proposed to purchase new one. Nakroma was offered by the Government of Germany last few years to help facilitate the Timorese people who are living in Oe-cusse and Atauro.
