NUGS CC AT UMaT- SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT I, have been silent for long and need to put the records straight as far as NUGS CC on the constitutional review is concern. No where in the world that questions or submission are allowed to be made in the process of a report read to the direct beneficiaries or whatsoever.so no argument on that. secondly, no person has the locus not even the national president( Andrews Kofi Gyan) who presided as the chairman can open a constitutional review report for discussion. it is never done.so legally there was no way any body could talk on the substantive mater as far as the constitutional review was concern. Let me educate some student leaders that the powers that Kombat had was to move for the proposal to be discussed for which the national president would convene congress and automatically becomes a CC member at that juncture. Local NUGS presidents would go and appoint or elect their chairman who shall stare the affairs for the discussion from which all concerns can be brought on board from article by article and any legal concern for which if there was a need to adjourn it for the next CC to rectify all errors fine. it was unfortunate that people were never interested in the legal procedure but were interested in the content of the document. Again, those who were asking whether or not all the members or any were(was) qualified to be part of that committee in the first place do(does) not know what he/she is talking about because these were nominated and approved by CC members where they were subjected to questions and satisfied as such. so it was only Congress again that can reverse the formation of the committee and not noise and unnecessary agitations. Lets me state unequivocally that, this was a report and proposed provisions and Congress alone can open it for discussion upon which we as CC members can approve all, some, any or otherwise. leaders who were saying that, if we allow the process to continue then it would be pushed down the throat of us can be described as unfortunate because we should have known better. People who were insulting Kombat and the committee members, my question to them is for WHAT? for bringing their proposal as a committee? when we should have known that the power lies in us to approve or disapprove all. i personally had my own objections to some provisions but knew when and how to do so but not to behave that way. lets learn please and start to advice ourselves otherwise, we do not have a future.
