Vernon Aji Kedit, as promised. Next Best Choice. At this present moment in time, it is pretty obvious that there is snow flakes chance in hell, i.e. no chance, for a one on one challenge between BN and PR in the forth-coming general election., unless AI got his aha moment soon. The problem is certainly not due to intellectually challenged politicians or common sense from all sides. This means that we can narrow it down to poor strategic insight, particularly to PR or the more frightening but common vice of of human weakness – Control of Power. As Sabahans, where do we stand in this extremely complicated maze of puzzle. What are the choices remaining? Both STAR/Usno and SAPP pride themselves as parties fighting for Sabah Autonomy as per the intentions of our founding fathers. As individual party, each on their own, it is highly doubtful if either can win enough seats to form the next State Government of Sabah. If we cannot work with them, then we have to work with ourselves. In my opinion, the next best choice is for Jeffrey Kitingan and Yong Teck Lee to come to an agreement as soon as possible to form a united front to prepare for a three cornered fight against, BN and PR, with the party wining the most number of seats or the party with the highest percentage of votes, in the event of a tie, given the post of Chief Minister. Whilst at it, there should also have a contingency plan to work with PR, if presented with this opportunity, albeit farfetched. The main advantage of a LOCAL united front gives a positive impression to Sabahans that our local leaders are serious about fighting for OUR rights as per their intentions. Sabahans then can treat GE13 as a REFERENDUM to MA63. It is no more a secret amongst Sabahans that we joined as equal partner, but in reality it is anything BUT equal. Should Sabahans continue being treated as losers by Malaya or do we stand up tall and tell them to sod off? According to an article written by Joe Fernandez, quote, Sabah, Sarawak must regain control over its resources. Last year, Putrajaya plundered Sabah alone to the tune of RM 50 billion by conservative estimates. This does not take into account losses incurred by Sabah under the National Cabotage Policy, rakings by Malayan companies sitting on native land and gambling monies flowing to the Peninsula. The objective of regaining control over politics, resources and revenue, in furtherance of its manifest destiny, will not be achieved if the parti parti Malaya continue to steal seats, parliamentary and state, in these Nations. It would be tragic if Sabahans and Sarawakians dont capitalise on the political divide in Malaya since 2008 to secure their rightful place in the sun. Borneons may quarrel among themselves but they need to unite in the face of a common external threat and enemy. Unity is strength. unquote. Sabah Sarawak at Crossroads come GE13. I reiterate, 50,000,000,000.00 ringgit was plundered LAST YEAR by Putrajaya on a conservative estimate. Not many of us can even visualise how much is one billion, let alone 50 billion ringgit. Frank and others pride themselves as genuine Sabahans, and I have no doubt they are, albeit slightly misplaced, in my opinion, quote, Frank Yapp Lai Singh First and foremost genuine Sabahans wanna be treated as equal partner as per the Malaysia Agreement 1963 and the 20 points...and a new RCI to investigate Sabahs mother of all problem ie the PTIs. Unquote. The pertinent question Sabahans should ask ourselves is, is it worth paying 50 billion ringgit under BN or in the case of PR, less Cabotage & 15% (oil & gas only)? This is the dictionary PR wants Sabahans to go by from THEIR meaning of equal partnership. If anything, there is nothing equal in this so called equal partnership. Even the appointment of the Chief Minister right down to the JKKK has to be approved by Malaya, under PKR Manifesto 18.4. WHY? This and the plundering of the 50 billion rgt, 2012 only, is the all important question when it is time to cast our votes. Sabah has to be born again for the salvation of our Children.
